The welding industry is growing at an impressive rate & the need for qualified welders is high. This means the opportunity for those in High School to step into a career quickly has never been better. Because of this, we have an amazing opportunity coming up on April 13th.
We will be holding our annual High School Senior Welding Contest at KWI where students will compete against the best in the nation for a chance to win a $14,000 scholarship!

2025 High School Senior Welding Contest – OPEN TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS
Saturday April 12th, 2025 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM EDT
To recognize skilled welding students from across the country & support their pursuit of a successful welding career.
Contestants will demonstrate their welding skills in SMAW (2G and 3G open root). A guided bend will follow if applicable and an Oxy Fuel Cutting Contest is available during down time.
Top Prize: $14,000 scholarship & your pick of a Lincoln Ranger or Miller Bobcat!
Each participant gets: $1,000 Scholarship & a KWI T-Shirt
This contest shall be open to ANY HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR currently enrolled in secondary welding programs. There is no limit to the number of entrants per school.
The success you will experience as a welder is a result of you driving your personal growth. Jumping into a welding contest not only helps you grow in your craft, but also make strong connections inside the welding industry.
